Learning Support
At Laurel Hill Secondary School FCJ, we aim to support all pupils and help them achieve their potential. Our school offers an inclusive and supportive environment for each student.

Additional Educational Need – AEN
Regardless of a student’s learning style, first language or any additional educational need (AEN), we work to ensure each pupil feels valued, included and supported throughout their educational journey. The AEN team within the school is led by the coordinator, Ms Delaney. Ms Delaney and her team work in consultation with students, mainstream class teachers, the guidance counsellor, year heads, parent(s)/guardian(s) and external agencies where applicable. Through this consultation process a support file is created for each student. This is monitored and reviewed by the AEN team to make sure each student is progressing in line with their targets.
An essential part of supporting students with AEN is communication from parent(s)/guardian(s). We ask that all parent(s)/guardian(s) please communicate any information they have in relation to their daughter and AEN as soon as possible. Communication with the school regarding AEN can be made using the contact form on this page.
Please find information in relation to Reasonable Accommodations at State Examinations (RACE) on the State Examinations Commission website.
