Junior Cycle

At Junior Cycle, Laurel Hill Secondary School offers the following subjects to all students. Irish, English and Mathematics each require a minimum of 240 hours of timetabled student engagement. All other subjects, including History, require a minimum of 200 hours of timetabled student engagement that includes teaching, learning and assessment activities. To facilitate learning and implementation of formative assessment, the minimum class period of 40 minutes is adhered to. Some subjects are facilitated to acquire double class periods.
